Spring Bear Beginnings
Spring Bear Beginnings is a two-day session held each January prior to the beginning of classes for all new students enrolling for the spring semester. This orientation is for both first-year and transfer students. During Spring Bear Beginnings, new students will meet with a faculty advisor to finalize their spring schedule. Additionally, students will interact with new classmates, receive their student identification Bear Card and parking pass, and connect with other campus resources.
Orientation Registration
Beginning in November, all students who have been admitted for the spring semester by the Office of Admissions will be sent a link via e-mail to complete their Mercer Academic Profile (MAP). Contact the Office of Academic and Advising Services for more information on registering for orientation.

Finalized Transcripts
Submit any final transcripts from high school or college to Mercer’s Office of the Registrar for final evaluation. The final evaluation is necessary for all transfer equivalencies to be figured prior to the spring semester. After registering for orientation, students’ academic information will be reviewed by an academic advisor. An academic advisor from the student’s academic department will be in contact via e-mail or telephone to build your spring course schedule.
